Summer program registration for private schools that already run the year
You already have a campus, staff, and a year-round reputation. Summer should not require a second website, a new Facebook event, or a paper form that only exists in the office drawer.
Add summer as seasonal packages on the same rented working site you use for the school year.
What summer parents need on one page
- Dates and hours for each week or session - Ages or grade bands - Theme or focus in one sentence (camp, academics, sports, arts) - Price per week or per session - What is included (lunch, shirt, field trip) - What is not included - Deposit vs full pay - How families pay **you** - Whether the program is open to non-enrolled community kids - A Register button that works on a phone
If you run both enrolled-family camp and community camp, say that in plain language. Do not make community families guess whether they are allowed.
Why a new site is the wrong project
Summer is a season, not a new institution. A second Squarespace, a new domain, and a volunteer who “will take it down in August” is how you get a ghost page next March.
Same rental. New packages. When summer ends, you unpublish or mark sessions closed in a tweak round. The school-year Register URL stays.
What CCCM rents
A done-for-you public site for schools and clubs:
- $149 first month, then $99/month, three-month minimum - We build and run it - Seasonal packages (summer, camps, clinics) on the same site - Money to your accounts — we never hold tuition or camp fees - Checkout: https://www.getcccm.com/checkout - Club and sports-style camps also see https://www.getcccm.com/sports
Academy OS can help later with week-of check-in ops. That is talk-first and quoted after conversation: https://www.getcccm.com/academy-os — no public OS price, no checkout button.
Invented sample (not a client)
“Maple Street Prep (invented) keeps its K–8 Register URL year-round and adds June–July week packages each April, including a community-camper option.” Invented only — not a live URL.
Liability and medical at signup
Collect emergency contacts, pickup people, and your standard release on the same form. Do not chase medical and swimsuit-permission notes three days before week one.
If you need a physician form, say so on the page and let families upload or bring it. Do not hide the requirement in a Facebook comment.
Staffing honesty
Only publish weeks you can staff. A cancelled week after deposits is worse than a shorter summer. Update the page when a week fills or closes.
School-year families vs community
Returning families often assume they are automatically in. They are not, unless you say so. Put a clear “current families register here too” line so your office is not fielding “I thought we were in.”
Waitlists when a week fills
When a week caps, say so on the page the same day. A public “week of July 13 — full; waitlist open” line is kinder than a quiet inbox. Move a family from waitlist to a seat only after you confirm the payment path to you — not to CCCM.
Plain next step
If a working public Register site is what you need, start at https://www.getcccm.com/checkout or email hello@getcccm.com with your school or club name, city, and what you run. If you need staff-desk ops instead, use https://www.getcccm.com/academy-os and expect a conversation — not a self-serve price button.
FAQ
- We only run two weeks. Still worth it?
- If you already rent the year-round site, yes — add two packages. If you have no site, summer is a good reason to get Register live.
- Can community families pay a different rate?
- Yes. Publish both rates. Do not make them DM for the “real” price.
- Where does camp money go?
- To you. CCCM never holds fees.
- Do you invent camp photos?
- No. Send real photos you have release to use. We will not invent a campus.
- How fast for a summer add-on?
- If the site already exists, a tweak round. If you are new, about one business day after paid checkout and complete details.
