Maps, parking, and gym entrance notes that cut first-day chaos

First tryout night should not start with twenty cars circling the wrong lot. Parents need maps, parking rules, and which door to use — on the public site, not only in a coach's last-minute text at 4:47 p.m. Pretty gym photos help. Directions that work on a phone help more.

Practical location content

Include on the public pages:

- Full street address and city - Embedded map or clear Maps link - Parking lot vs street parking vs paid garage - Which entrance for athletes vs spectators - Check-in table location ("main lobby, past the trophy case") - What to bring for night one - Accessibility notes you can stand behind

If you use multiple facilities by age group, say which ages go where. A single vague "we train around town" line creates no-shows and angry voicemails. Shared school or church gyms need visitor parking rules and which door is unlocked — assume a first-time parent with no local knowledge.

Tie location to Register

Put directions next to tryout dates and the Register button. Families who just paid a deposit should not hunt a buried Contact page for the address. When you change gyms mid-season, update the site the same day — not "sometime after we tell the group chat."

First-day pack list on the same page

Shoes, water, jersey color, waiver already on file — put the pack list under directions. Parents who registered last week still forget. One scroll on the phone beats three coaches answering the same DM. If spectators have a different entrance than athletes, say it twice: once under tryouts, once under Contact.

Rain, construction, and last-minute moves

Have a short "facility updates" line you can change quickly. Rainout messages may still go by text for same-day calls — that is fine. Permanent address and parking facts should not live only in texts that new families never received. Construction season is when Maps pins lie; add a human note ("use temporary Lot C off Oak").

CCCM working site

- $149 first month, then $99/month, three-month minimum - We keep addresses, maps, and entrance notes current when you send updates - Money for programs goes to you — CCCM never holds it - Checkout: https://www.getcccm.com/checkout - Field and club seasons: https://www.getcccm.com/sports

Who is cleared to practice at which site is ops. Academy OS is talk-first: https://www.getcccm.com/academy-os — no public OS price.

Invented sample (not a client)

"Harbor Volleyball Project (invented) puts 'Enter Door C off Maple; athlete drop-off loop only — park in Lot B' under every tryout package, plus a Maps pin." Invented — not a live academy.

Drop-off vs stay-and-watch

Some gyms ban sideline parents; some require them. Publish the rule with the entrance notes so tryout night is not a policy debate at the door.
