Teacher bios and class pages without teaching staff a CMS

Parents want to see who will be in the room. Teachers want to teach. Those two facts should not require a login, a training video, and a forgotten Squarespace password.

A working school site can carry teacher bios and simple class pages **without** turning faculty into web editors.

What parents actually need

- Name, role, grades or subjects - A short bio in human language (not a CV dump) - A current photo they consent to use - Class or age-band page: what the year looks like in a paragraph - How to inquire or enroll — not a mailto buried under a widget

They do not need a blog the teacher must feed every Friday. They do not need a CMS homework packet in August.

The volunteer-editor trap

A parent or a tech-comfortable teacher starts strong in July. September hits. Photos go stale. A beloved teacher leaves and the page still says they are “excited for this year.” Families notice.

DIY builders fail on school sites for the same reason they fail on club sites: the updater is also a full-time human.

How the rental splits the work

CCCM builds and runs the public site. Your office or head of school sends photos and blurbs. We apply them in the included monthly tweak round.

You do **not** teach staff a CMS. You do **not** need a webmaster on payroll.

- $149 first month, then $99/month, three-month minimum - Live in about one business day after paid checkout and complete details - Families pay you direct — we never hold tuition - Checkout: https://www.getcccm.com/checkout - Club / academy programs: https://www.getcccm.com/sports

Academy OS is a staff desk, not a public bio CMS. Talk first at https://www.getcccm.com/academy-os — no public OS checkout price.

Photo and bio hygiene

- Collect photo release at enrollment for students; collect staff consent separately - When someone leaves, send the update the same week - Do not invent credentials - Do not publish home addresses or personal cell numbers unless the person asked you to

Invented sample (not a client): “Westbrook Parish School (invented) sends two new teacher photos and 80-word bios each August; CCCM swaps them on the class pages.” Sample look only.

Class pages vs a full handbook

A class page is a welcome, not a policy manual. Link the handbook if you have one. Do not make the handbook the only public door.

If a teacher wants a longer letter to families, host a PDF you approve — or keep it in your parent email. The public site stays short and current.

What not to crowdsource

Do not give twelve teachers twelve logins. Crowdsourcing a school website is how tone, spelling, and leftover staff collide. One office contact, one monthly packet of updates.

Why this is an enrollment issue

Empty or ancient faculty pages read like a school that is between eras. A relocating family will wonder who is actually in the building. Bios are trust content. Treat them like the Register button: they have to be true this year.

Plain next step

If a working public Register site is what you need, start at https://www.getcccm.com/checkout or email hello@getcccm.com with your school or club name, city, and what you run. If you need staff-desk ops instead, use https://www.getcccm.com/academy-os and expect a conversation — not a self-serve price button.

FAQ

Will teachers need training?
No. They send a photo and a blurb. You or the office approve it. We publish.
What if we have 20 teachers?
Start with current classroom teachers and the head of school. Add specialists in later tweak rounds.
Can we hide last names?
Yes, if that is your safety practice. Say “Ms. R., Grade 2” consistently.
Do we keep the design if we cancel?
You export text, photos, and contacts after the three-month minimum. The design stays with CCCM.
Is this a student information system?
No. Public pages and Register. Ops software is separate.
