Link practice plans to who actually showed up

The disconnect

Common pattern:

1. Plan written Sunday in a Doc 2. Attendance taken on paper or a random Sheet 3. Mid-practice adjustments only exist in the coach’s head 4. Next week’s plan ignores who actually trained 5. Director asks for “what we covered” and gets shrugs

You do not need formal after-practice writeups. You need a trail: what was scheduled, who showed, what mattered.

Parents Register for seasons on your working site. They do not need every drill progression on the marketing homepage. Keep recruiting and enrollment public; keep practice ops internal. Cover coaches and substitutes

The link between plan and attendance matters most when the usual coach is out. A substitute should open the session, see who is expected, see limited-status flags, and see the plan outline without hunting three apps. That handoff is a kindness to athletes and a safety issue.

Keep plans short on purpose

A linked plan can be a half-page outline. Long novels do not get opened at warm-up. Short plans next to real attendance beat perfect Docs nobody reads.
