International and relocating families: clear English enrollment without jargon

A family landing in your city has a job start date, a lease, and a short list of schools. They will not decode “inquiry portal,” “admissions journey,” or a PDF that assumes they already know your local abbreviations.

Write the public enrollment path in clear English. Make the steps few. Make payment methods obvious. Let them book a tour without a phone tag they cannot join from another time zone.

What relocating parents need to see

- Grades or ages you serve - School year calendar at a high level (start month, breaks if they matter) - What a first visit is (tour, observation, interview) - How to book that visit on a phone - What documents you actually need (immunization, prior records — list them) - Tuition or deposit clarity you will stand behind - How they pay **you** (card, wire instructions you publish carefully, Zelle if it applies) - Who to email if the form is not enough - Whether you enroll mid-year

If you cannot take mid-year seats, say so. A clear no saves everyone a week.

Jargon that loses people

Avoid: rolling admissions ecosystem, mission-aligned fit process, sibling yield, SEVIS-adjacent slang you have not explained, “schedule a discovery call.”

Use: “Book a Tuesday tour.” “Pay the deposit to hold the seat.” “Email records to this address.”

You can still have a careful admissions process. The website is the front door, not the faculty handbook.

Payment methods across borders

Say what you accept. If you only take U.S. cards and Zelle, say that. If you can take a wire, publish the facts you are willing to publish and finish details by email. Do not assume every relocating family has Venmo.

CCCM never holds tuition. Families pay the school. We will not invent a payment rail you do not use.

Time zones and office hours

A Register form that works at 10 p.m. local — or at 6 a.m. from another country — is the point. Office hours still matter for tours. They should not be the only way to start.

What CCCM rents

A done-for-you public working site:

- $149 first month, then $99/month, three-month minimum - Mobile Register / tour request - Your approved copy in plain language - Money to your accounts only - Checkout: https://www.getcccm.com/checkout - Club programs: https://www.getcccm.com/sports

Academy OS is staff ops after they are enrolled. Talk first: https://www.getcccm.com/academy-os — no public OS price.

Invented sample (not a client)

“River Bend Independent (invented) lists a mid-year seat policy, a 30-minute tour booking form, and card or Zelle to the school — no ‘portal’ vocabulary.” Invented only.

Language access, honestly

This post is about clear English, not about promising a translated site you will not maintain. If you have a staff member who can support another language, say how to reach them. Do not publish a machine-translated page you cannot stand behind.

Records without chaos

Tell families what to send and in what format. “Email a PDF of the last report” is better than “initiate records request through your SIS” if the other school has no SIS.

Housing and visas

Only publish help you actually provide. Do not invent housing partnerships or visa advice. If you are not that school, say you enroll students and families handle relocation themselves.

Plain next step

If a working public Register site is what you need, start at https://www.getcccm.com/checkout or email hello@getcccm.com with your school or club name, city, and what you run. If you need staff-desk ops instead, use https://www.getcccm.com/academy-os and expect a conversation — not a self-serve price button.

FAQ

We only enroll in spring?
Publish that. Offer an interest form for families arriving off-cycle.
Do we need a multi-language site?
Only if you will keep it true. Clear English beats a stale translation.
Can grandparents complete the form from overseas?
Yes — ask who the legal guardians are and how to reach them.
Where does the deposit go?
To you. CCCM never holds money.
How fast?
About one business day after paid checkout and complete details.
