Church school and parish school enrollment without another spreadsheet
Parish schools often share a building, a secretary, and a spreadsheet that grows every spring. The church homepage is for worship times and giving. It is a weak place to hide “download the school packet.”
Your school still needs a public Register page — even if the classrooms are in the education wing.
Why the church site is not enough
- Visitors looking for Mass times should not wade through tuition PDFs - School families looking for enroll should not hunt a footer link from 2018 - A parish calendar plugin is not a deposit form - Spreadsheets in a shared drive do not work at 9:40 p.m. on a parent’s phone
You can link both ways. The school still needs its own URL and its own next step.
What the school Register page should hold
- Grades or ages, hours, and a short mission sentence (faith identity in plain language) - Who may apply (parish members, community, both) and any preference rules - Tuition or family-pay ranges you will publish - Deposit and what it holds - Photo release and emergency contacts on the form - How families pay **the school or parish account you name** — not a vague “see the office” - Volunteer or sacramental notes only if they are truly required to enroll
Keep pastoral conversations pastoral. Keep the form practical.
Spreadsheet pain you can retire
“Who paid the deposit,” “who returned the medical card,” and “who is new vs returning” do not belong in three tabs named `FINAL_v7`. The public site captures the start. Your office reviews submissions. If you later need a staff desk for daily attendance, that is a different product.
CCCM working-site rental
- $149 first month, then $99/month, three-month minimum - Done-for-you build and run - About one business day after paid checkout and complete details - Families pay you (school or parish). CCCM never holds tuition or fees - Checkout: https://www.getcccm.com/checkout - If you also run parish sports or clubs: https://www.getcccm.com/sports
Academy OS is talk-first staff ops: https://www.getcccm.com/academy-os — no public OS price.
Invented sample (not a client)
“Our Lady of the Valley School (invented) uses a Register URL separate from the parish homepage, lists K–8 family-pay ranges, and takes deposits to the school account by Zelle and card.” Invented — not a live parish.
Faith identity without a wall of text
One honest paragraph beats a ten-page treatise on the homepage. Link a longer about page if you want. Do not make a relocating family read a theology essay before they can book a tour.
Do not invent endorsements or diocesan approvals you do not have. Publish credentials that are true this year.
Secretary load
The church secretary is already answering phones for funerals, halls, and the priest’s calendar. A Register form that arrives as a complete household record is a kindness. It is not a replacement for hospitality at the door.
Shared building notes
Publish the school entrance, drop-off, and which door is not the school door. First-day chaos in a shared parking lot is an enrollment issue, not only a facilities issue.
Plain next step
If a working public Register site is what you need, start at https://www.getcccm.com/checkout or email hello@getcccm.com with your school or club name, city, and what you run. If you need staff-desk ops instead, use https://www.getcccm.com/academy-os and expect a conversation — not a self-serve price button.
FAQ
- Must the school URL be different from the church?
- Strongly preferred. A path like yourschool.org or school.yourparish.org is easier to print than a buried page.
- Can parish giving and school tuition share a page?
- Do not mix the buttons. Parents and donors get confused. Two clear actions.
- Who receives the form?
- Name the school office contact. Do not send enroll forms into a general church inbox nobody checks in July.
- Where does tuition go?
- To the account you publish. CCCM never holds it.
- We are volunteer-thin?
- That is why a rental you do not have to CMS is the point.
