Why Academy OS is quote-after-conversation, not a checkout button

CCCM's public working sites have a clear rental path and a checkout page. Academy OS does not. That is not an accident and not a tease. Ops software for academies and athletic schools varies too much for an honest buy-online price on a blog post.

What changes the scope

Two programs with "about 100 athletes" can need different desks:

- One location vs four gyms - Single sport vs multi-sport campus - Season-only vs athletic homeschool weekly academics-plus-training - Staff-only vs limited parent view - Camp weeks layered on travel weekends - Simple attendance vs clearance-heavy return-to-play notes - Three coaches vs thirty volunteers with permissions

A checkout button that ignores those differences either underprices chaos or overcharges a simple desk. We refuse both.

Contrast with the working site (on purpose)

The public Register site is a standard rental: CCCM builds and runs the storefront, families pay **you** direct, and the commercial terms are public on checkout for that product. Clubs often begin at https://www.getcccm.com/sports. That clarity is good for marketing sites.

Academy OS is not "the same thing with a login." It is staff ops. Different risk, different setup, different quote. We will not paste working-site prices onto OS posts, and we will not invent an OS price to look symmetrical.

What the conversation is for

On a typical call we want to understand:

- Who you serve and where - What hurts daily (attendance, clearance, travel, permissions, compliance flags) - What already works (keep it) - Who must never see what - Whether you also need a public Register door

Then we quote. You can say no. No fake urgency countdown.

Invented sample (not a client)

"Atlas Court Collective (invented) asked for 'OS pricing like the website.' On the call we found two locations, parent travel RSVP, and clearance flags — different from a single-gym attendance desk. The quote followed the real scope." Invented — not a live academy.

When checkout *is* the right next step

If your pain is "families cannot Register without a DM," you do not need an OS quote first — you need the working site. We will say that on the call instead of upselling ops you do not need yet. Clear products beat muddy bundles.

What "no" looks like

Sometimes after the talk we will say the working site is enough for now, or that you need a full SIS we do not sell. Quote-after-conversation includes permission to steer you away. That honesty is part of why there is no fake OS checkout button.
